♦Pay It Forward♦ HSKS Trivia/Scavenger Hunt Posted

Posted by sallenlouise on September 13, 2007

I have the trivia questions and scavenger hunt pics posted HERE for the HSKS. Speaking of, I love the actress that plays Rolanda Hooch, Zoe Wanamaker. I’m watching the reruns of My Family on BBCA, she plays Susan Harper, the mom. The show is hilarious! Also, she played Cassandra, the last human on 2 episodes of Dr.Who. I love Dr.Who! I watch it on BBCA and USA.

Ohh, and what do you think of my HP inspired Meez?! I love me! lol!→

I came across the Pay it Forward Swap when checking out other HSKS members blogs. Thank you Tammy @KnitoneInsane2 for posting about this! This will be so much fun!

Here’s the details as explained from blog to blog:

“Here is how it works! I’ll send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange! I don’t know what that gift will be yet, and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week…LOL… but you will receive it within 365 days, that’s a promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog…”

If you’re interested, let me know by posting to this blog, and I’ll start on something special for you! This is going to be so much fun! I can’t wait to find out who my 3 will be!

Things That make you go HMMMMM, or is it MMMMMM?!?!?!?

Posted by sallenlouise on September 12, 2007

OK, strange thing. Earlier today I was thinking about what to do for dinner. Spaghetti popped in my mind. Then was replaced by home made pizza. I thought, I am gonna have to get on here and look for a pizza dough recipe. Obviously, it was out for tonight. I will have to get the necessary ingredients the next time I go grocery shopping.

While checking my blog, I accidentally clicked on something. (Still not used to the lap top!) Well, it was a new blog buddy, LIZ. No biggy, I needed to catch up on her posts anyway. Her post for the 9th was about making homemade pizza with the family….and she linked to the pizza dough recipe! Can you believe that? Thank you Liz for posting the recipe!!! Sooo, on Friday, the girls and I are making pizza from scratch!!! Rachelle is going to be sooo excited! She has had thoughts about becoming a CHEF. That would be nice, I told her when she does, she could teach me how to cook!

I sent out Selah and my Mystery Yarn Balls today, as well as a few other swap things. The Mystery yarn ball was fun to do, I didn’t appreciate the shipping though, lol! I really didn’t think about that when I let Selah participate.(shipping wasn’t that bad!) Oh well, she had fun! She definitely loves to shop!

Here’s Selahs Mystery Yarn Ball  &  Here’s my Mystery Yarn Ball to Carrie

Alright, I’ll be going for now. I hope you all have a great night!

Busy Day!

Posted by sallenlouise on September 9, 2007

First I have a movie date with my kids! We’re going to watch Flushed Away. Yes, they are older, but we’re in a goofy mood! During the movie I’m going to work on purple squares for the Purple Square Swap. I already have 15 done…yay!! My oldest DD, Selah wll be working on her Pastel squares for the New Baby Swap. (At the same place) I think she’s just about done though…She is becoming quite fast. Proud Mamma Moment!lol!

Later this afternoon, we’re taking the dogs for a walk and to the park. I’m also going to pass out flyer’s for Tupperware! I received my kit today, and WOW!! Love it!!!!

This evening I will try to work on corrections for my dishcloth pattern. Most likely though, It will get worked on tomorrow. Hubby might be home tonight. (way late) Just to leave early Monday morning to go to Huntsville. He works way to hard.

OK, I think I’m hearing rain It’s raining. So, I’m guessing walking the dogs, going to the park, ad passing out flyer’s is out. 😦 Sooo, we will watch our movie (starts in 7 minutes), if it keeps raining, we’ll play cards or work on our puzzle. It’s been waiting patiently for us to start working on it again!

Well, I’m outta here for now! I hope you guys enjoy the rest of today!

My Round Ripple WIP

Posted by sallenlouise on September 7, 2007

Well, I have pretty much in order lap top wise. I still have MANY, MANY links to retrieve. I’m thrilled…can’t you tell.

I have been realizing throughout today, that I have lost files that I forgot that I had, lol! I’m just wondering how many patterns were lost….sniffle sniffle!

Here is a Round Ripple that I started…need to finish, but had other things to do first. (Thank you for the pattern Aggie Mae!!!!!) It’s going to get a lot bigger, and the green is going to get wider on every repeat. This would be my second RR. I made another for a business associate of my DH. It has yet to be given to him, so I will have to pull it out and take a pic.

Round Ripple

I’m using RH Pale Plum and the variegated is Watercolor.

Current Mood: AGGRAVATED!!!!!!

My hubby was home last night, he made it in about 8, 8:30 or so. (Left at 6am this morning) He was way to tired to make a run to the “possible new house” and have a look. I was like, OK, I will just show him the pics that I took. At least this way he will have some sort of idea. Well, that idea soo went out the front door! After he was settled, kids in bed, and a cup of tea in hand, I turn on the lap top.

I jnew something was wrong! It went to that funky screen that says start in safe mode, start normally…blah blah blah. I knew for a fact it was shut down ok, so I clicked start normally. NOTHING. Started to do something but went back to the same screen. I tried the isafe mode option….same thing. So, selfishly, I looked at hubby, you know the look, and asked if he was awake enough to see what the problem is with this pile of crap wonderful equipment.

Long story now shortened, He had to reboot to the way it was when we first bought it. YAY! No pics, no files, no anything of what I had on here. All gone. Obliterated. Now, I get to do the fun part of finding all of my links, yet again, remembering what password wet where…………ARGGGGGGGGGG!

I will answer my e-mails later…..this is gonna take me awhile.

I was tagged by : Thornberry
I made the mistake of reading her blog, lol! OK here I go!

The rules are:

(a) each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves

(b) the rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed

(c) at the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

I have tagged 8….but consider yourself tagged if you are reading this!!!

Okay, here goes, 8 facts/habits about me.

1. I’m a mind reader….seriously, go on ad ask my kids!!

2. I love washing clothes….Can’t stand putting them away.

3. I fall upstairs, not down them.

4. I love being outside, just can’t stand the hot weather……and I’m n Texas!

5. I really have a lot of good ideas….I just forget to say them out loud, lol!

6. I love roller coasters and thrill rides……I’m just scared to death to get on them…..when I finallt do and the brace comes down, I think “what the heck was I thinking!” Afterwards, I’m happy and wanna do it again.

7. I love the ocean…..yet it freak me out when I’m in it. The same for the lake. I have to SEE what’s swimming with me.

8. Micheal Myers still freaks me out. (from the Halloween movies) If I’m outside at night (like taking the trash out, or getting something from the car) I look around to make sure he isn’t there. YES, I know he isn’t real…..but still! N0~ I haven’t seen the new remake…..but I will when it’s on DVD. What can I say!

Which eight facts will you share with us? I’m going to be checking your blogs for them!

OK Ladies, I’m tagging you now!

Sneak Peeks and other stuff!

Posted by sallenlouise on September 3, 2007

I am making this for my HSKS partner, Miranda. Forgive the safety pins, I’m just trying to keep the loops straight. Any ideas on what it could be? I have the finished product in my head…and it looks awesome! Hahahaha! lol. I think it will look cool. No, it’s not in her Griffindor colors, but I know for a fact that she likes these colors…..trust me on this, lol! (Miranda, I know, I know….eventually!!!!!) Ohh, and really quick, WAY TO GO SLYTHERINS!! Let’s really try and stay in first place. I know we can do it! (yes, I know this was almost a week ago….positive reinforcement!!!!)

For Miranda, HSKSHalloween 12

HALLOWEEN: I am making 12″ squares for my Halloween square swap (you can still join the last 2)
I’m still sewing on the kitty, so don’t mind that loose end, lol! I have a witch, a bat, and a pumkin. I love ’em!! I will show them when I have them all finished.

Design Den: I have been working on some square patterns and some other kitchen themed items. I can’t wait to show ya’ll. I designed this awesome scrubby pattern for a swap that I was in, had written it down as I went…all I had to do was add it to the puter. Well, to my horror….it has disappeared. AHHHHHHHHHH! Maybe I can do something like it again…I guess we will see.
